The person who sent the first 'Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami' (HuJI) email claiming responsibility for the Delhi high court blast has been taken into custody.

"The person we were looking for -- the suspect who sent the email -- has been located and taken into custody for questioning," home minister P Chidambaram told reporters in New Delhi.

The email was sent from the Global Cyber Cafe at Malik Market in Kishtwar district of J&K. The sender is being interrogated, highly placed sources said.

A special team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday arrived in Kishtwar town to question five people held in connection with the blast, police sources said. The NIA team visited the cafe at around 3.50pm and questioned Imran Hussain Sheikh (20), a BA (Part III) student, son of Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh from Upper Malipath Kishtwar, who was detained by police yesterday. He was detained along with another BA (Part I) student Ashaq Hussain, son of Ghulam Hussain from Khandkot Doda.

Police sources said that although the different agencies were working on the case but investigators suspected that the computers might have been fiddled (formatted) after sending the email just to distract the agencies. However, sources added that the investigations were at a preliminary stage and it was too early to comment further.
